A name, telephone number, or address entered in a search form is sent to the outside provider that supplies its results; Woodbridge Residents Directory does not retain a separate copy of those searches. If you contact us, the message contains only the information you choose to send and is used to respond.

Hosting systems may create standard logs such as IP address, browser type, viewed pages, and timestamps. Aggregate review helps maintain the service and understand use patterns. Cookies or comparable tools can support basic analytics and, where applicable, advertising measurement.
How Limited Data Is Used
Limited information is used to operate the service, correct technical problems, measure general traffic, and improve content. Visitor lists are not sold, and individual reader profiles are not created.
External Services
Links lead to county and state portals, library collections, archives, and outside search services. Their privacy terms control information submitted on their pages, including material entered into sponsored-result tools supplied by another company.

Hosting and support providers process relevant server logs. Analytics and advertising providers may receive the automatic information described above. Information is disclosed when valid legal process requires it, and not otherwise.
Safeguards
The service uses an encrypted connection, and logs are retained only for the stated operational needs. No visitor account is offered, so Woodbridge Residents Directory does not hold a site password or account profile for a visitor.

This reference is intended for adults and is not directed to children. Personal information from a person under 18 is not knowingly collected. Contact us if a minor may have sent information so it can be removed.

Virginia’s Consumer Data Protection Act, Va. Code Title 59.1, Chapter 53, gives certain rights of access, correction, deletion, and opt-out to people covered by that law, subject to its scope and exemptions. Because this reference retains very little information, a request generally involves checking the contact mailbox and server logs, then removing information that can be removed. Use the Contact page to ask. Government records kept by Virginia or Prince William County custodians are outside this service’s control and must be addressed with the responsible office.
